General
Prescription products are available only if a licensed provider determines they are appropriate. Tell your provider about all medications, supplements and conditions. Stop and seek medical care if you have a serious reaction.
Weight care
Weight care may include compounded GLP-1 medications. Do not use them if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid cancer, or if you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2); in animal studies, medicines in this class caused thyroid C-cell tumors. Possible serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (higher if you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea), kidney problems from dehydration, vision changes and allergic reactions. Not for use if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell any surgeon or anaesthetist that you take this medication. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and stomach pain. Seek care right away for severe stomach pain that won't go away, a lump or swelling in your neck, or trouble swallowing.
Men's hormone care
Testosterone is a controlled medication. Possible risks include increased red blood cell count, acne, fluid retention, sleep apnea worsening, reduced fertility and effects on the prostate. Lab monitoring is required. It is prohibited in drug-tested sport.
Menopause care
Estrogen therapy may increase the risk of blood clots, stroke, heart disease, dementia and certain cancers, including endometrial and breast cancer. Report unusual vaginal bleeding right away.
